Songs of festivals like Holi, Diwali, as well as songs of fairs are also songs related to the development of human life. Such songs include the songs of the rich, welcome songs at birth, lullabies, nursery rhymes, wedding songs, reunions and bereavement songs.

(2) The values of life in the life of the people of Gujarat have been constantly irrigated by the cultural karma and the folk literature of Sanskar Dharma to manifest, nurture and propagate them.
(3) In Gujarat, like the shepherds, Bhat, Mir and Rawal etc. have performed Sanskar Seva by giving Duha, Varta etc. Farmers sing Chandrawada, flute, folk songs, Bhavais songs, bhajans and satsangs are all a treasure trove of folklore.

There are many types of folklore within Gujarat. All these folk dances are performed in festivals, celebrations, births, weddings, season songs etc. The most famous folk dance in Gujarat is Ras Garba. Apart from this there are also some dances.

◼️Bhavai.
Bhavai is one of the traditional drama genres of Gujarat. Bhavai was started by the poet Asite Thackeray, who was born in the Sahastra Brahmin clan of Siddhpur.
(1) Knowledge, education and entertainment were provided to the people by different countries in an era which did not have equipment like TV, cinema and radio at that time. The social status of these Bhavaiyas was high. When they entered the village, people greeted them with drums. All the people of the village were involved in it.

We begin with a new week and for this we will focus on Indian State Cuisine. We will do six posts and pick any Indian state for a day.
Well, living in Gujarat naturally my first choice is my own state. Gujarat is situated on the western side of India and has four regional cuisines, each different than the other , yet with many similarities. The Gujaratis are simple people and their day to day food is a simple lentil, with rice, a veggie with a chapati, some salad and buttermilk.
I have made many Gujrati Thalis with different menus, but this Thali is special. This is a Thali which I cooked at our hotel with the help of my chef. We had some guests at the hotel who were staying over a month. These were young boys who got bored of eating the hotel food and requested some change from the typical menu. Gujarati menu sounded good, but I knew my chef would not give them authentic Gujrati food, so I decided to cook and took his help with boiling and chopping. We had to cook for more than 100 people.
