 * One step after another is being taken by the Gujarat Public Service Commission to free the recruitment process from human interference and operate the computer so that the work of the Commission becomes more transparent and credible.  The Commission, which is continuously active in this direction, has implemented a 'Computerized Marking System' since May 2017 to ensure that the merit work can be done quickly, flawlessly and effectively during the interview process.
 
 The entire process from the beginning of the interview to the announcement of the result by the Commission has been done by pen and paper till date.  After the completion of the interview of the candidate, the members of the selection committee would register the marks in the mark sheet agreed upon through discussion.  Following this process for each candidate, at the end of the day all the marks are sealed in the Tempered Evidence Cover.  After the completion of the interview process, the Temper Evidence cover is opened and the marks obtained against the candidate's code are recorded in the computer.  The process was time consuming and precise.  In parallel with this system, the Commission has introduced 'Computerized Marking System' during the interview of Principal Skill Training (Class-II) starting from 5th May, which will now be applicable to all class 1 and 2 interviews to be held from 04-10 June onwards.  .  The procedure for this computerized marking system will be as follows.
 
  In case of one or more boards, the candidates will be allotted to which slot to go by drawing serial.

  After the completion of the interview of the candidate, the members of the selection committee will discuss and provide marks in the handwritten mark sheet and software by consensus.  The software features of the computerized marking system are as follows:
 Time The time of commencement of the interview of the candidate and the time of awarding after the completion of the interview will be 'locked'.
 The software will not accept marks unless all the members have the same marks in the software.
  Marks from the software will be available for further processing only after the interview process is completed.  The software will ‘lock’ a given score once during this period.
 ▪ (For example, suppose the duration of the interview is fifteen days, then the marks of the interview can be dealt with only on the sixteenth day.)
 Marks and other details provided in the software are locked once they are registered and cannot be audited.
 
 ❖ At the end of the interview on that day a print of the mark sheet registered in the software will be taken which will be compared with the handwritten mark sheet by the members of the selection committee and then all the members of the committee will sign the result.  The interview day will then be 'locked' in the software.  The signed marks will be sealed in the Temper Evidence Cover and deposited in the Strong Room.
 
 ે On the stipulated date, only authorized persons will be able to log in to the software using the password and receive the marks directly from the server and in parallel the marks of the written examination of the candidate will be made available from the private branch of the Commission.  In this way, the final result will be ready.  It is important to mention here that the private branch and the branch conducting the interview and the recruitment branch are different and independent from each other.
 
Parinam If there is no legal complication or conditional interview has not been conducted with the credentials, the result can be published within the counting hours of the completion of the interview.

 ❖ Examination rules and examination methodology
